Quote : Love
Sometimes we make the mistake of thinking that listening and hearing to someone is the same thing . They may sound the same but think about it are they really ?. Unfortunately I've loved and lost because I didnt listen .I heard but didnt really listen .When I sit back and reflect back on that time I realize I heard alot but didnt quite listento what the other person was saying. Sometimes yu may even miss out on what the other person is feeling.I like to call this selective hearing. You hear whatyou want what they are actually saying .So ive come to the conclision that when it comes to love one must learn to listen without judgement.Really listen and although you may not agree but you have to listen . Feed back most o the time is not necessary , a person in love can get more soothingfrom some one listening than their loved one responding. Communication is the key to keeping love. Some get it some dont all because they heard but didnt listen with their heart. So, always remember, The first duty of love is to listen.

The Begining
Hello Professor Olean
My name is Judy Rodriguez. I am a single independent mother of two beautiful children. A son of seventeen years of age and a daughter of ten. I've been wanting to return to school for sometime now. Unfortunately being a full time working mother leaves me little time. I try my best to be a hands on mom attending cheer leading practices as well as baseball games. Being a mother is a very demanding job itself. I must say I am truly blessed and manage it very well.
I currently work for The State of Connecticut at the Department of Corrections. A job that is also demanding. I work third shift at sixteen hours per shift. At times the job can be more mentally exhausting than physical. Being a woman in a male dominant atmosphere can also add to the frustrations of working for the department. I would like to get my degree in criminal justice and further my career in this field. My goal is to become a parole officer. Now that my children are a little older and demand less of my time, I am able to focus on school and move ahead in my career.
